Shivering isles quest help?

Im on the lady of paranoia quest where u have to find a traitor who threatens to kill syl. Im on the part where mazaddha tells me to meet him in his house at midnight for info but when i go in there he just gets up and and talks aload of bs. I know that hes supposed to be found dead but why isnt it happening?
