I think i have an ingrown toenail?

A few weeks ago i went to the doctors as it was infected and had puss comin out of it :| And when i was at the isle of man i was wearing tight boots which really hurt it then. now its even worse than before but has no infection, i dont think so anyway. any ideas on sorting it,or pain relief and is it an ingrown toenail? thanks
